Stablecoin is Coming: What It Is and How to Prepare for Its Arrival
In this fast-paced session, learn the basics of blockchain
technology, how it enables cryptocurrencies such as
stablecoin and tokenized deposits, and the potential
impact on community banking.
Patrick Dix, vice president, client & association
engagement, leads SHAZAM’s Speakers Bureau,
providing valuable and timely education on issues
facing banks. SHAZAM’s Speaker’s Bureau delivers
some of the highest-rated content and training at more
than 100 meetings and conventions annually. He also
supports SHAZAM’s advocacy efforts at the state and
federal level to ensure community financial institutions
have a strong voice in the payments industry. Before
joining SHAZAM, Dix spent 25 years as a broadcast
journalist, including 16 years as the senior morning
news anchor at the NBC affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dix graduated from the University of Missouri with a
degree in journalism.
DOOR PRIZES
At the beginning of each Group Meeting, one banker’s
name is drawn from the list of registered bankers to
receive a $100 bill. At the conclusion of each meeting,
CBAI will draw nine more names. The first five selected
each receive $50; the sixth and seventh individuals
receive $100; the eighth person selected receives $250
cash. The final individual chosen wins $500. You must
be present to win.
GOLF PRIZES
One hundred dollar gift certificates from the pro shop will be
awarded at the host course to first place team members as well
as $50 gift certificates for the longest putt and longest drive. If
more than ten teams participate in a tournament, additional
$50 gift certificates will be awarded to second place team
members and one for closest-to-the-pin.
